Anton Forsberg’s 25-save gem went unrewarded in Chicago as an early lead evaporated, leaving the fatigued Kings to head home following a missed opportunity at United Center.

Anton Forsberg made 25 saves on 27 shots, but the Los Angeles Kings fell 2-1 to the Chicago Blackhawks at United Center on Tuesday night. Despite an early opening goal from Samuel Helenius, the Kings were unable to sustain their momentum on the second night of a back-to-back set, dropping their overall season record to 3-6-2.
Roman Kantserov scored a power-play goal off a Connor Bedard setup to tie the game for Chicago. Wyatt Kaiser scored the third-period game-winner for the Blackhawks, with Frank Nazar and Patrick Kane picking up assists on the deciding play as Chicago snapped a three-game losing streak.
