The Los Angeles Kings remain the only winless team to start the 2026-27 NHL season.
The Los Angeles Kings are the only winless team in the NHL after starting the 2026-27 season with an 0-4-2 record following a loss to the Boston Bruins. The Kings surrendered a 1-0 first-period lead as Boston scored four unanswered goals. Los Angeles has scored just one goal in each of its last four games and holds the worst start in franchise history.
Goaltending and defense have compounded the Kings' offensive struggles, with the team allowing four or more goals in four of six contests. Goaltenders Darcy Kuemper and Anton Forsberg both hold goals-against averages above 4.00, while the team has conceded eight power-play goals. Injuries to Kevin Fiala, Mats Zuccarello, and Alex Turcotte have also limited the offense.
