Blake Coleman scored a power-play goal in his team debut to help lead the Minnesota Wild to a 3-1 victory against the Nashville Predators on Thursday. Nick Foligno and Kirill Kaprizov also scored for the Wild in their regular-season opener, while goaltender Jesper Wallstedt made 19 saves to earn the win.
Roman Josi provided the only goal for Nashville, assisted by Filip Forsberg and Steven Stamkos. Quinn Hughes logged a team-high 27:30 of ice time and assisted Kaprizov's third-period goal to secure Minnesota's win over Juuse Saros and the Predators.
