Minnesota Wild Assign 15 Players To Iowa Wild; Place Eight Players On Waivers

The Minnesota Wild trimmed their training camp roster to 27 players by assigning 15 players to their AHL affiliate, the Iowa Wild. Eight of those players must clear waivers to complete the assignment: Matt Kierstad, Carson Lambos, Roman Schmidt, Caedan Bankier, Dylan Gambrell, Justin Kirkland, Tyler Pitlick, and Mason Shaw. Other NHL teams have 24 hours to submit waiver claims on the exposed players.

Seven waiver-exempt players were also sent to Iowa, including Rieger Lorenz, Hunter Haight, and Riley Heidt, while Kayden Lemire was assigned to the WHL's Prince George Cougars. Charlie Stramel and David Spacek remain on the NHL roster as the Wild must make four additional roster moves before the final deadline to reach the 23-man limit.
