The Minnesota Wild have placed veteran forward Nick Foligno on injured reserve with an upper-body injury and recalled top prospect Rieger Lorenz from the AHL. Following a 3-2 defeat to the Tampa Bay Lightning, head coach John Hynes confirmed Foligno will miss at least a week, including Saturday's matchup against the Florida Panthers.
In corresponding roster moves, the Wild reassigned veteran forward Tyler Pitlick to the AHL's Iowa Wild. Lorenz, a 22-year-old forward who impressed during the preseason, joins Minnesota after posting two goals and three points in the AHL this season.
