Justin Blades reports on the Montreal Canadiens facing the San Jose Sharks at the Bell Centre on October 20, 2026. The Canadiens established early pressure with chances from Kaiden Guhle and Alexandre Texier, but San Jose goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic kept the game scoreless before an apparent Montreal goal was disallowed.
San Jose took a 1-0 lead after Macklin Celebrini intercepted an errant pass by Jake Evans during a Montreal power play. The Canadiens responded to tie the score 1-1 when Juraj Slafkovsky set up Nick Suzuki, who sent a shot bar-down.
