The Montreal Canadiens have traded defenseman Jayden Struble to the Nashville Predators in exchange for the Vegas Golden Knights' second-round pick in the 2027 NHL Entry Draft. The move resolves a defensive logjam for Montreal, which entered the season with eight defensemen on its roster.
Struble, who recorded 35 points in 174 games across four seasons in Montreal, was recently replaced in the lineup by Adam Engstrom. Nashville acquired the physical blueliner following an injury to William Trudeau, giving Struble regular ice time ahead of becoming a restricted free agent.
