Juraj Slafkovsky has gotten off to a slow start to begin the season and the Canadiens are going to need him to get going sooner rather than later.

The Montreal Canadiens are searching for ways to revive Juraj Slafkovský's offensive production after the forward recorded just one goal and no assists through the first four games of the season. Montreal has struggled as a team, losing three of four contests and allowing 19 goals. Slafkovský's slow start follows a career-best campaign where he tallied 30 goals and 43 assists.
Writer Jacob Tye highlights that injuries to Ivan Demidov and Oliver Kapanen have disrupted Montreal's forward combinations and separated Slafkovský from his regular linemates. Head coach Martin St. Louis briefly reunited Slafkovský with Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield during Thursday's loss to Nashville, and Tye argues that sticking with that trio offers the best path toward sparking Slafkovský's rebound.
