We have another round of NHL rumours to get you ready for the weekend. The 2026-27 season is just over a month old, but the hot stove talk is always happening. Teams are still trying to figure out their path…

The Fourth Period reports that Nashville Predators defensemen Brady Skjei and Nic Hague have surfaced as potential trade assets for general manager Chris MacFarland. Sitting fifth in the Central Division during the 2026-27 season, the Predators may look toward the future and consider moving veteran players to acquire assets and make the roster younger.
Skjei holds a full no-movement clause and carries a $7 million annual cap hit through 2030-31, though Nashville reportedly remains open to moving him for the right offer. Meanwhile, the Predators are not actively shopping 27-year-old Hague, but other NHL clubs have reportedly inquired about his availability.
