Teams across the NHL are gauging their worth in the early weeks of the 2026-27 season, with one team potentially looking to bolster its back end. The Nashville Predators entered the 2026-27 season after fighting for a Wild Card spot…
The Nashville Predators are actively seeking to reshape and augment their defensive unit following a slow 3-5 start to the season under new general manager Chris MacFarland. According to insider David Pagnotta on Daily Faceoff LIVE, the team has held discussions with other clubs regarding potential moves on the blue line while already having acquired Jayden Struble.
Pagnotta reported that while captain Roman Josi is not involved, the team has listened to inquiries on another veteran defenseman with contract term. The organization remains in a cautious stance, with early season performance set to dictate future decisions on players such as Ryan O'Reilly, Ross Colton, and defensemen on expiring contracts ahead of the March 1 trade deadline.
