The New Jersey Devils made some interesting offseason moves to get a stronger, more offensive forward team heading into the 2026-27 season. They traded Jacob Markstrom to the Florida Panthers…

New Jersey Devils forward Amadeus Lombardi has made a positive impression during the start of his NHL career. Acquired from the Detroit Red Wings for a 2026 fourth-round draft pick, Lombardi made his NHL debut on October 1 against the Philadelphia Flyers. In his first eight games, he recorded his first NHL point by assisting Jesper Boqvist and later achieved a multi-point performance with two assists.
Despite being a healthy scratch for two games to accommodate veteran Connor Brown, Lombardi quickly returned to the lineup against the Los Angeles Kings on October 24. Devils head coach Sheldon Keefe affirmed that Lombardi's return was planned regardless of other roster changes, providing the young forward with ongoing opportunities to impact the team throughout the 2026-27 season.
