Just shy of two weeks after his trade from the Winnipeg Jets to the New Jersey Devils, Connor Hellebuyck has addressed the fans of his former team on Wednesday afternoon.

Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck addressed Winnipeg Jets fans via an Instagram post titled "Letter to Jets Fans" nearly two weeks after his trade to the New Jersey Devils. Hellebuyck explained that requesting a trade was an extremely difficult decision driven by multiple considerations, including challenging private family circumstances.
Hellebuyck thanked his former teammates, coaches, staff, and Jets supporters for their backing throughout his career in Winnipeg. The goaltender was traded on October 23 in exchange for Dawson Mercer, Nico Daws, Nick Bjugstad, the rights to Alexander Command, and two future draft picks.
