Semyon Varlamov returns to the UBS Arena crease tonight, seeking a milestone victory against Los Angeles as home fans welcome their veteran goaltender back to the island.

Semyon Varlamov is scheduled to start in goal for the New York Islanders against the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night. The matchup at UBS Arena marks Varlamov's first regular-season home start since November 25, 2024, following two road appearances to open his comeback campaign.
Head coach Pete DeBoer noted that Varlamov earned the home start after strong road performances, including stopping 19 of 20 shots against the Ottawa Senators on October 15. Forward Kyle Palmieri expressed excitement for Varlamov's return to the home crease.
