Blue Seat Blogs has published its weekly fan confidence poll following a difficult stretch for the New York Rangers. The team holds a 7-7-1 record and sits fifth in the Metropolitan Division after losing 6-3 to the Los Angeles Kings and 4-1 to the Edmonton Oilers, bringing their recent skid to 1-5-1.
Writer Dave Shapiro highlights roster construction issues, noting that average goaltending has exposed team flaws, while James Reimer lasted only 20 minutes in his first start. The article also mentions reported Edmonton Oilers interest in Matt Rempe and argues the Rangers are not a good fit for Nikita Kucherov following his trade request.
