The New York Rangers are still undefeated at home after their win over the Anaheim Ducks on Monday night. Maybe they have the same magic that the New York Knicks had when they went on their NBA Championship run this…

The New York Rangers have opened the 2026-27 NHL season with a perfect 6-0-0 record at Madison Square Garden following a 5-2 victory over the Anaheim Ducks. Writer Scott Rogust suggests the team is channeling the winning atmosphere created by their arena co-tenants, the New York Knicks, who won the NBA Championship in June. Defenseman Sean Durzi noted the team was glad to deliver another strong performance ahead of the Knicks' championship ring ceremony.
Following a last-place Eastern Conference finish in 2025-26, general manager Chris Drury overhauled the roster by adding players including Sean Durzi, Marcus Pettersson, and Pavel Dorofeyev. Through 11 games, the Rangers are tied for first place in the Metropolitan Division with the Carolina Hurricanes. The team has maintained its strong start despite losing goaltender Igor Shesterkin to a season-ending knee injury, with Dylan Garand stepping in with a .929 save percentage.
