Ex-Senator Brady Tkachuk Wins First Panthers Fight

Former Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk engaged in his first fight as a Florida Panther during a matchup against the San Jose Sharks at SAP Center. The altercation occurred in the first period after Tkachuk delivered a body check to new San Jose captain Macklin Celebrini, prompting Sharks defenseman Jacob Trouba to drop the gloves. Tkachuk landed several shots and secured the takedown against Trouba.

Tkachuk joined Florida during the offseason in a major trade that sent three draft picks to Ottawa, uniting him with his brother Matthew Tkachuk. Florida entered the game looking to build on an opening-week 1-0 overtime win over the Carolina Hurricanes, while Tkachuk prepares for an upcoming return to Ottawa later in the month.
