The Ottawa Senators got embarrassed on home ice in a 7-2 loss against the St. Louis Blues.

The Ottawa Senators suffered a heavy 7-2 defeat against the St. Louis Blues on home ice on Tuesday night. Ottawa entered the contest with a strong 4-1 record on the NHL season before allowing a shorthanded goal in the first period and eventually trailing 3-1 through 40 minutes of play.
The Blues dominated the third period by scoring four goals in just over eight minutes to take complete control. Claude Giroux and Fabian Zetterlund scored the lone goals for Ottawa, while defensive injuries raised significant concerns regarding the team's blue line.
