Building off their wild comeback on Thursday night in Los Angeles, the Senators put up an impressive performance in San Jose.

The Ottawa Senators snapped a two-game losing streak with a convincing 5-1 road victory over the San Jose Sharks on Saturday afternoon. Dylan Cozens opened the scoring for Ottawa before Michael Misa leveled the game for San Jose. The Senators broke the game open with three unanswered second-period goals from Drake Batherson, Tim Stutzle, and Ridly Greig, before Shane Pinto sealed the win with a third-period empty-net goal.
Goaltender Sam Ersson stopped 21 of 22 shots to earn his first victory with Ottawa while filling in for the injured Linus Ullmark. Forward Philip Tomasino registered an assist in his Senators debut following his recall from Belleville. Ottawa finished with a 35-22 shot advantage and concludes its western road trip against the Anaheim Ducks.
