Something feels a little strange about the Ottawa Senators right now. It’s like the rest of the NHL started, but they didn’t. They haven't played a regular-season game yet.
The Ottawa Senators are scheduled to begin their regular season on Saturday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs. While Ottawa has not yet played a game, Toronto enters the matchup with a 1-1 record through their first two contests of the season.
Ottawa defenceman Jake Sanderson is ready to return from an undisclosed injury to feature on the top pairing and first power-play unit. Goaltender Linus Ullmark is also expected to make the start in goal for the Senators.
