According to a team announcement, the Philadelphia Flyers have activated forward Denver Barkey off injured reserve. In a corresponding roster move, Philadelphia placed forward Nikita Grebenkin on the team’s injured reserve with an upper-body injury.
The Philadelphia Flyers have activated 21-year-old forward Denver Barkey from injured reserve and placed forward Nikita Grebenkin on injured reserve with an upper-body injury. Barkey had been sidelined since suffering a lower-body injury during a preseason game on September 21 against the Washington Capitals, which he subsequently aggravated in practice.
Barkey is expected to join Philadelphia's fourth line alongside Sean Couturier and Noel Acciari after posting 17 points in 54 regular-season games last year. Meanwhile, Grebenkin has been dealing with an injury since training camp, and the Flyers have not provided an official timeline for his return.
