The Philadelphia Flyers received encouraging injury news ahead of Monday's matchup against the Tampa Bay Lightning, with Rasmus Ristolainen and Denver Barkey potentially ready to play. Both players traveled with the team to Tampa Bay. Ristolainen is considered a game-time decision, while head coach Rick Tocchet noted there is a good chance Barkey suits up at winger.
Ristolainen exited Saturday's game against the Carolina Hurricanes with an apparent hand injury after blocking a shot. Barkey has been sidelined on injured reserve since suffering a lower-body injury in the preseason opener and would require activation to play, potentially by placing Nikita Grebenkin on injured reserve.
