Tocchet's power play expertise showing up in a big way.

The Philadelphia Flyers have shown significant improvement on their power play following tactical adjustments made by head coach Rick Tocchet. After struggling with the league's worst man advantage in recent years, Tocchet shifted Trevor Zegras to his forehand on the left side to encourage a faster downhill attack. The adjustment paid off immediately, leading to a 2-1 win over Ottawa and a 3-2 victory against Colorado.
Matvei Michkov capitalized on the new setup by scoring power play goals in both contests after returning to the top unit. Tocchet credited the structural change with generating more shots and creating better scoring chances around the net for his young forwards.
