The Philadelphia Flyers should make a serious push for Nikita Kucherov and give Matvei Michkov an elite linemate to work with.
Writer Spencer Lazary argues that the Philadelphia Flyers should pursue a permanent trade for Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov. According to reports from insider Elliotte Friedman, Kucherov has requested a trade from Tampa Bay and plans to test unrestricted free agency rather than re-sign with the organization.
Lazary contends that acquiring Kucherov would provide an elite linemate to boost the development of young forward Matvei Michkov. Although Kucherov reportedly prefers contending teams and holds a 10-team no-trade clause, the writer believes Philadelphia has the draft picks and prospects required to make a compelling offer.
