Flyers reportedly "like" the 23-year-old center.

The Philadelphia Flyers are reportedly considering exploring trade options to acquire a top-six center, with Seattle Kraken center Matty Beniers emerging as a target. According to reporting from Daily Faceoff's Anthony Di Marco, the Flyers may look to clear out their crowded winger position, where Tyson Foerster could serve as a key conversation starter in potential negotiations.
While Seattle has shown interest in Foerster, Philadelphia would reportedly prefer building an offer around Owen Tippett and prospect Jett Luchanko. The 23-year-old Beniers, drafted second overall in 2021, is signed through 2031 with a $7.142 million annual cap hit, and the report notes there is no current indication that Kraken general manager Jason Botterill wants to move him.
