This former Penguins goalie has been a nice surprise for the Jets.

Goaltender Stuart Skinner is off to an impressive start with the Winnipeg Jets amid Connor Hellebuyck's ongoing trade request drama. Through his first three appearances this season, the former Pittsburgh Penguins netminder has compiled a 2-0-1 record alongside a 2.62 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage.
Skinner joined Winnipeg during the off-season on a two-year, $7.5 million free-agent contract after spending the 2025-26 season with Pittsburgh. His recent strong performances include stopping 32 of 34 shots against the Colorado Avalanche on Oct. 7 and making 34 saves on 36 shots against the Detroit Red Wings.
