Penguins Activate Kindel, Waive Depth Forward

The Pittsburgh Penguins have activated 19-year-old forward Ben Kindel ahead of their Saturday home game against the Montreal Canadiens. To clear space on the roster for Kindel's activation, the team designated forward David Gustafsson as non-roster and placed him on waivers.

Kindel practiced on a modified fourth line alongside Andrei Kuzmenko and Connor Dewar under coach Dan Muse. Kuzmenko rejoined the team after being away following his father's death, while forward Blake Lizotte has also indicated he is ready to return from an opening-night injury.
