The San Jose Sharks have officially announced their season-opening roster, featuring 21-year-old defenseman Luca Cagnoni. Entering his third season with the organization, Cagnoni earned his spot following strong preseason performances where he led the top power-play unit. The Sharks also added 23-year-old defenseman Nolan Allan to the NHL roster ahead of the new campaign.
Last season, Cagnoni recorded 43 points in 67 games for the AHL's San Jose Barracuda before appearing in three NHL games. To finalize the roster, defenseman Eric Pohlkamp was assigned to the Barracuda, while Allan is expected to serve as the team's seventh defenseman.
