Preseason is showing the Sharks what their young players still need to learn

The Vegas Golden Knights defeated the San Jose Sharks 2-1 in a shootout following a 1-1 tie in regulation and overtime. Michael Misa opened the scoring for San Jose with a power-play goal assisted by Ivar Stenberg, before Alexander Holtz scored to tie the game for Vegas. Matyas Sapovaliv and Braeden Bowman secured the victory for Vegas in the shootout.

Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky highlighted the necessity of consistent habits, strong defensive reads, and player development throughout the preseason schedule. Goaltenders Yaroslav Askarov and Carter Hart kept the matchup scoreless through two periods before the younger prospects were tested in high-pressure situations.
