The San Jose Sharks defeated the St. Louis Blues 3-2 in overtime despite playing without Macklin Celebrini. Darnell Nurse scored the game-winning goal in the extra period, marking his first goal as a Shark following an assist from rookie Ivar Stenberg.
St. Louis controlled early play, outshooting San Jose 11-2 at even strength in the first period, but goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic kept the Sharks within reach. Tyler Toffoli and Collin Graf scored the regulation goals for San Jose, while Dillon Dube added a shorthanded goal for the Blues.
