Seattle Kraken defenseman Ryan Lindgren was placed on injured reserve on Thursday and is expected to miss four to six weeks due to an upper-body injury. The 28-year-old sustained the injury after being hit from behind by Vegas Golden Knights forward Marc Gatcomb early in the first period of Tuesday's 6-2 loss, skating just under four minutes.
Lindgren is in the second season of a four-year, $18 million contract and has recorded zero points with a plus-3 rating across four games this year. Over 485 career NHL games with the New York Rangers, Colorado Avalanche, and Kraken, he has totaled 111 points. The Kraken next play the Detroit Red Wings on Friday.
