Seattle Kraken Rumors: Vince Dunn and Simon Edvinsson

The Seattle Kraken are actively pursuing a contract extension for pending unrestricted free agent defenseman Vince Dunn while also exploring a trade for Detroit Red Wings defenseman Simon Edvinsson. According to NHL insider David Pagnotta on 93.3 KJR, both Dunn and the Kraken share mutual interest in finalizing a long-term deal, with negotiations having begun in early October.

Pagnotta noted that extending Dunn could command an eight-figure average annual value depending on contract length and structure. Simultaneously, the Kraken are among several teams pursuing Edvinsson after the 23-year-old reportedly requested a trade from Detroit, though Red Wings interim general manager Sean Horcoff maintains a high asking price.
