The Ottawa Senators have recalled forward Sammy Blais from the AHL's Belleville Senators and reassigned forward Xavier Bourgault in a corresponding roster move. Blais, a 30-year-old Stanley Cup champion, is in his first season with the Ottawa organization after signing a two-year, $1.85 million contract during the offseason.
Bourgault heads back to the AHL after appearing in two scoreless games for Ottawa following his call-up on Friday. He has recorded three goals and nine points in 10 games with Belleville this season.
