Blues legend Brett Hull made a shocking revelation about Mike Keenan's habit of scratching players, particularly during sentimental games.

St. Louis Blues legend Brett Hull revealed on the Ice Guardians podcast that the worst thing former head coach Mike Keenan ever did was healthy scratch Dale Hawerchuk in Buffalo. Hull stated that Hawerchuk's elderly grandmother was in attendance for what would be his final visit to Buffalo, yet Keenan still chose to scratch him.
Hull added that Keenan stripped him of the Blues' captaincy the following morning after Hull confronted him over the decision. Former Blues player Jamal Mayers also shared that players avoided buying game tickets for family members out of fear that Keenan would scratch them if he found out.
