The St. Louis Blues have assigned forward Otto Stenberg to the Springfield Thunderbirds of the AHL. The 21-year-old recorded one assist in his three-game NHL call-up stint.

The St. Louis Blues have assigned 21-year-old forward Otto Stenberg to the AHL's Springfield Thunderbirds following their 4-1 victory over the Boston Bruins. Stenberg was initially recalled on October 18 and made three NHL appearances during the stint, tallying one assist, two shots, and three hits while averaging 10:31 of ice time.
Stenberg was a healthy scratch for two games prior to the reassignment. The move comes as Alexey Toropchenko returned from injury and Ross Johnston nears a return, creating roster pressure, while the AHL assignment offers Stenberg more offensive opportunities and regular playing time.
