Forward, third-round pick in 2020 NHL Draft, was recalled from Springfield on Sunday, calls it "surreal"

Forward Dylan Peterson is poised to make his NHL debut with the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday against the Ottawa Senators. The 24-year-old was recalled from the AHL's Springfield Thunderbirds on Sunday following a strong start to the season. Peterson practiced on Monday on the fourth line at right wing alongside center Pius Suter and left wing Ross Johnston.
Selected in the third round of the 2020 NHL Draft, Peterson spent four years at Boston University before playing two seasons in the AHL. Head coach Jim Montgomery praised Peterson's speed, physicality, and fit for a fourth-line role, noting that he brings an edge and a chip-and-chase style suited for their upcoming road trip.
