St Louis Blues center Dalibor Dvorsky is working through early rookie growing pains. Jim Montgomery explains why his ice time has dipped and what the team needs next.

St. Louis Blues head coach Jim Montgomery has challenged young center Dalibor Dvorsky to elevate his offensive game and drive play through congested areas. After scoring two goals in his first two games, Dvorsky's ice time dropped from 16 minutes against Ottawa to around 10 minutes over his last three games against Minnesota, Nashville, and Winnipeg.
Montgomery praised Dvorsky's defensive improvements but stressed the need for consistent forechecking and puck pursuit. Bleedin' Blue notes that St. Louis can remain patient with the 21-year-old's development thanks to center depth from Robert Thomas, Mason McTavish, and Pius Suter.
