The Detroit Red Wings have placed forward Chase Stillman on waivers after he recovered from a preseason injury, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman. The move indicates that Stillman is healthy and expected to begin his upcoming season with the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins if he clears waivers unclaimed.
Originally drafted 29th overall by the New Jersey Devils in 2021, Stillman has also spent time in the Pittsburgh Penguins and Vancouver Canucks organizations. If he successfully clears waivers, Detroit will become the fourth professional organization of the young forward's career.
