Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Jim Hiller praised forward Easton Cowan for exceeding expectations following the team's 6-2 victory against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The 21-year-old forward has made a major impression during his sophomore season, recording four goals and 10 points across 11 games.
Hiller highlighted Cowan's physical and mental maturity, as well as his quick adaptation to the NHL. The young forward has earned playing time on Toronto's top line alongside Auston Matthews and has become a regular penalty killer.
