The 21-year-old forward has 10 points in 11 games and looks stronger, faster and drastically improved from last season.

Easton Cowan is enjoying a breakout start to his season with the Toronto Maple Leafs, recording 10 points through his first 11 games. The 21-year-old winger has earned a spot alongside Auston Matthews on the top line and is contributing on both special teams. He recently tallied his first NHL three-point game, including a shorthanded goal, in a 6-2 victory against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Cowan attributes his progression to physical conditioning, recovery adjustments, and a crucial 2024 Calder Cup championship run with the AHL's Toronto Marlies. After logging 18 points in 22 AHL playoff games, Cowan overhauled his diet, mobility, and off-ice habits during the offseason. Head coach Jim Hiller noted that Cowan has impressed the organization by meeting his ambitious personal goals.
