Toronto Maple Leafs forward Easton Cowan has excelled after being promoted to the top line alongside Auston Matthews and Jack Roslovic. Now in his second NHL season, Cowan has recorded 13 points in 14 games, putting him on pace for a 78-point campaign while helping the team achieve a 4-1 record with him on the top unit.
The Hockey Writers notes that Cowan's pace, energy, and strong two-way game have earned significant praise from head coach Jim Hiller and general manager John Chayka. His strong puck-hounding mentality and high-danger scoring metrics have made him an increasingly vital offensive contributor for Toronto.
