Arielle Lalande of CanucksArmy selected Jonathan Lekkerimäki, Elias Pettersson, and Max Sasson as the Vancouver Canucks' top performers of the week despite the team extending its losing streak to 10 games. Vancouver fell to a 2-10-1 record following a 6-3 defeat against the Carolina Hurricanes and a difficult contest against the Detroit Red Wings, during which the team went 40 minutes without registering a shot on goal.
Lalande highlighted rookie winger Jonathan Lekkerimäki as a bright spot after recording two goals and an assist across the week. Meanwhile, Pettersson maintained a point-per-game pace with 13 points in 13 contests, and bottom-six center Max Sasson was praised for his strong defensive play and skating speed amidst Vancouver's ongoing struggles.
