Telus has a message for viewers who can't find mid-week national hockey broadcasts where they used to be.

Telus notified Optik TV users that recent NHL broadcast shifts are due to Rogers' decisions under the new broadcast contract. According to the message, NHL Monday Night Hockey moved from Amazon Prime Video exclusively to Sportsnet+, while NHL Wednesday Night Hockey transitioned from Sportsnet to Amazon Prime Video. Both broadcast packages are excluded from standard Sportsnet channel subscriptions.
The Province reports that widespread viewer frustration is escalating as streaming package prices surge across Canada. Telus blamed rival Rogers for the programming shifts, while fans facing rising costs across networks like Sportsnet and TSN have voiced growing anger over subscription fees.
