The Canucks went nearly 40 minutes without a shot on goal in their 5-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings.

The Vancouver Canucks extended their losing streak to nine games after falling 5-2 to the Detroit Red Wings at Rogers Arena. Detroit jumped out to an early advantage and outshot Vancouver significantly, while Canucks goaltender Kevin Lankinen turned away 26 of 31 shots in the defeat. Elias Pettersson and Jonathan Lekkerimäki provided the only goals for Vancouver, which generated just 13 total shots throughout the entire contest.
Vancouver struggled heavily in creating offense, enduring a drought of over 39 minutes without recording a single shot on goal. Pettersson's first-period power-play tally moved him into the top 10 in franchise history for power-play goals, while Lekkerimäki added a third-period goal assisted by Marco Rossi and Zeev Buium.
