Canucks prospects: What’s happening with Aleksei Medvedev?

Vancouver Canucks goaltender prospect Aleksei Medvedev faces competition in the OHL after the London Knights acquired netminder Arvin Jaswal from the Barrie Colts. Medvedev, a 2025 second-round pick signed to an entry-level contract, has been splitting playing time with rookie Brian Cooke while compiling a 3-3-0-1 record with London this season.

London general manager Mark Hunter plans to keep three goalies temporarily, leading to speculation that Medvedev could eventually be traded. The Province's prospect rankings also highlighted top performances across the organization, including forward Adam Novotny's 18 points in 12 games for Peterborough and Caleb Malhotra's strong weekend for Boston University.
