The Story in 60 Seconds

The Vancouver Canucks were defeated 3-2 by the Vegas Golden Knights at Rogers Arena. Paul Cotter opened the scoring for Vancouver on a first-period power play, assisted by Filip Hronek and Elias Pettersson. Vegas answered with second-period goals from Mitch Marner and Victor Olofsson before Jonathan Lekkerimäki leveled the game. Marc Gatcomb quickly countered to secure the victory for Vegas.

Pettersson extended his season point streak with an assist, bringing his total to six points through three games. Despite pulling goaltender Kevin Lankinen late and mounting pressure in the third period, Vancouver was unable to beat Vegas goaltender Adin Hill.
