Could the Canucks end up trading Elias Pettersson to one of their biggest division rivals?

NHL insider David Pagnotta proposed a potential blockbuster trade scenario involving the Vancouver Canucks trading star center Elias Pettersson to the division rival Los Angeles Kings. Speaking on the DFO Insider show with Jeff Marek, Pagnotta suggested the Kings could explore sending forward Quinton Byfield to Vancouver as part of a larger multi-piece package.
The Canuck Way notes that Pettersson has recorded 16 points in 16 games to rebuild his trade value. However, writer Michael DeRosa argues that Byfield's remaining contract through 2028-29 might not align perfectly with Vancouver's rebuilding timeline, despite the 24-year-old's upside.
