The Canucks saw their 2-0 lead evaporate in third period as the Sharks struck twice in 11 seconds en route to comeback win…

The San Jose Sharks defeated the Vancouver Canucks 3-2 on Thursday night, overcoming a two-goal deficit with a third-period surge. Drew O’Connor and Liam Oghren gave Vancouver an initial 2-0 lead, but San Jose answered in the third period. Will Smith scored two consecutive goals, including a power-play marker, before Mason Marchment scored the game-winner on the rush.
Canucks head coach Manny Malhotra highlighted faceoff struggles and poor execution on penalty kills as decisive mistakes in the loss. Despite the defeat, Vancouver saw strong goaltending from Leevi Meriläinen, who repeatedly denied San Jose's offense through the first two periods.
