The Vegas Golden Knights have signed forward William Karlsson to a two-year contract extension, General Manager Kelly McCrimmon announced on Wednesday, September 30. The new deal carries an average annual value of $6.75 million and keeps the Stanley Cup champion under contract through the 2028-29 season, following the conclusion of his existing contract.
Karlsson originally joined Vegas as an expansion draft selection from the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2017. He played a key role during the franchise's 2023 Stanley Cup championship victory over the Florida Panthers and contributed to their return to the Stanley Cup Finals the following season.
