The Vegas Golden Knights called up Alexander Holtz from the Henderson Silver Knights. Here's what the move means.

The Vegas Golden Knights have recalled forward Alexander Holtz from the AHL's Henderson Silver Knights amid roster moves that included placing Parker Wotherspoon on injured reserve and Lukas Cormier on waivers. Holtz earned the call-up after recording four goals and four assists across five AHL games this season, though Vegas currently has few forward injuries outside of Victor Olofsson.
Jacob Walters argues that Holtz faces an uphill battle to secure regular playing time due to competition from lower-line wingers Marc Gatcomb and Braeden Bowman. Walters writes that Holtz must rebuild his confidence, improve his defensive back-checking, and make better shooting choices to avoid being cut loose when his contract expires.
