The latest NHL injury report has numerous names added to the list, some becoming increasingly concerning for fans.

Florida Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov was placed on long-term injured reserve after suffering a lower-body injury against the San Jose Sharks. The designation requires Barkov to miss at least 10 games and 24 days, marking another setback after he missed the entire 2025-26 season with an injury to his other knee.
Several other players suffered injuries across Saturday's NHL action, including Ottawa Senators defenseman Jake Sanderson, who exited after six shifts against the Toronto Maple Leafs and is listed day-to-day. Additionally, Washington Capitals defenseman Matt Roy, Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen, and Detroit Red Wings forward Marco Kasper were also sidelined with injuries.
